
OSAGE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects after a domestic incident that injured a police officer.
On August 1, police responded with Osage County EMS to the 500 block of North 4th street in Carbondale due to reports of a domestic battery, according to a media release.
Upon arriving to the residence officers made contact with the victim who reported the female suspect had left the scene. During the investigation the woman returned to, and attempted to enter, the residence. When an officer attempted to stop her from entering, she assaulted the officer.

The suspect identified as 27-year-old Ashley RaeAnn Morris was taken into custody on requested charges of Domestic Battery and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
A second individual at the residence, Aaron Michael Lewis, 29, was also taken into custody on an outstanding Osage County warrant.
EMS checked Morris and the officer. Both suspects are being held in the Osage County Jail.
