Kan. man jailed for alleged theft, mistreatment of elders

LABETTE COUNTY –  Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man for theft, mistreatment of elder persons, and several drugs and weapons charges.

Just before 4p.m. Tuesday, KBI agents arrested Stacy T. Oliver, 55, near 1528 Main St. in Parsons, Kansas, according to a media release from the agency.

Oliver was booked into the Labette County Jail on requested charges that include felony theft, two counts of mistreatment of an elder person, criminal threat, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the Girard Police Department, the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Parsons Police Department assisted in this investigation.
