Baldwin City Blues defeated the Junction City Brigade 5-3 Thursday night in their season opener. The teams played in Baldwin City, but meet again Friday at 7 p.m. at Rathert Field in Junction City.
Brandon Bochar, Brigade Head Coach, said late in the game Junction City was set up good a couple of times. "In the eighth with runners in scoring position you would have liked to get a good swing on balls there we punched out. You can't do that with runners in scoring position."
Junction City and Baldwin City compete in the Mid-Plains League.
