JOHNSON COUNTY —Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire at a Kansas home.
Just after 1p.m. Saturday, crews from Overland Park and Consolidated Fire #2 responded to a house fire in the 5900 Block of West 87th Terrace in Overland Park, according to a media release.
As the arrived, crews found heavy smoke and fire from the single-story, single-family home. Residents were able to safely escape. With everyone out crews transitioned to an interior fire attack.
It took approximately 30-minutes for crews to bring the fire under control. Fire damaged the entire structure and the home is likely a total loss. A family of three is displaced and staying with relatives. There were no injuries reported.
