Sheriff's K9 helps in arrest of 57-year-old Kansas drug suspect

OSAGE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just before 11:30a.m. Thursday, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop at K-31 Highway and South Fairlawn Road for a traffic violation, according to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells.

During the stop, a K9 was deployed, and illegal narcotics were located.

The driver of the vehicle, Kevin L. Talbot, 57, of Burlingame, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges that included possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
