RENO COUNTY — A hearing is set for Friday afternoon for a Kansas man who wants to withdraw his plea to four counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Patrick White, 21, Hutchinson, entered pleas to the four counts as part of a plea agreement. A fifth count was dismissed. Now White wants to withdraw that plea citing that he was not advised that his conviction meant a lifetime registration as an offender during plea negotiations.
White was arrested after deputies with the Reno County Sheriff's Department issued a search warrant on his home and cell phone.
The warrant stemmed from the allegations from a separate Law Enforcement agency that was made aware of White’s ongoing suspicious activity including allegedly recording The crimes are said to have occurred between October of 2018 and February of 2020.
