DOUGLAS COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating at incident at Free State High School, 4700 Overland Drive in Lawrence and asking anyone who witnessed the physical altercation on Wednesday to contact authorities, according to Lawrence Police.
The altercation involved students, another person and a firearm, according to police. There were no injures and students are safe.
During the incident witnesses fled and police need those students and other to call dispatch at 785.832.7509 or Crime Stoppers at http://843.TIPS and let us know what you saw.
Police took a suspect into custody.
