
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident after 11:30a.m. Thursday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a stolen 2015 Toyota Highlander driven by 16-year-old Alexander Clifton of Wichita, saw a State Trooper pull up behind him. Before the Trooper could use a grappler to stop him or activate emergency equipment, Clifton drove left of center into oncoming traffic. A 1999 Lincoln Town Car driven by Artemio Moreno, 65, Wichita, Artemio tried to avoid the SUV by taking the south ditch. The Toyota struck the Lincoln head-on in the south ditch.
EMS transported Moreno to Wesley Medical Center and a 17-year-old female passenger in the stolen SUV to St. Joseph-Via Christi. Clifton was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
