SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting that fatally injured 47-year-old Deandre Freeman of Wichita.

Just before 8:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a check residence call at a home in the 1700 block of North Harding in Wichita, according to Office Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, officers entered the home and found Freeman had been shot multiple times.  He was pronounced deceased on the scene.  Officers also located a 53-year-old man who had been shot.  He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition and remains hospitalized.

The investigation revealed the two victims, a suspect and two other men were all at the home and are known to each other.  A disturbance occurred between the suspect and others when the suspect fired multiple shots striking the victims.

Detectives are working to locate individuals involved in this case.  This was not a random incident, according to Davidson.
