Homicide: Kansas shooting victim dies at hospital

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another homicide in Topeka.

Just after 8a.m. Wednesday, police responded to report of a possible shooting at a home in the 2000 block of SW Clay Street in Topeka, according to Police Lt. Matt Danielson.

First responders located a man later identified as 26-year-old Semaj O. Jackson suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Jackson was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he died.

The Topeka police Homicide Unit was called to the scene. Police released no additional details Wednesday afternoon.
