KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 1030p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 3400 block of Wyoming in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
When officers arrived, they located a man later identified as 38-year-old Aaron C. Walton, suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive. Medical aid was rendered to him before EMS declared him deceased at the scene.
Preliminary information indicates Walton and an additional unknown male subject were involved in an altercation that escalated to gunshots where the victim was struck. The male subject fled the scene prior to officers arrival.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to the scene to begin collecting any evidence and gathering witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Police released no additional details.
