GRAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 9p.m. Wednesday in Gray County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Gray County Sheriff's Deputies were southbound on Kansas 23 in pursuit of a 2014 Peterbilt semi driven by Chadwick F. Johnson, 52, Cimarron. The semi traveled off the road, continued south into a field, then eastbound onto Ridgeview Drive then onto North Third Street. The semi then left the roadway to the right and crashed into a tree.
EMS transported Johnson to St Catherine Hospital. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP. Police have not reported what prompted the chase.
