Kansas woman dead after 3-vehicle head-on crash

LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo.—A Kansas woman died in an accident just after 11p.m. Saturday in LaClede County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ram 1500 driven by Robert L. Koehler, 57, Success, Missouri, was eastbound on Highway 32 three miles east of Lebanon, Missouri.

The pickup crossed the centerline, sideswiped a 2021 Ford F350 driven by Mitchell S. Michaelis, 47, Fair Play, Missouri. The Ram 1500 then struck a 2016 Ford Fiesta driven by Joseph A. Hamamy, 29, Overland Park, Kansas, head-on.

A passenger in the Fiesta identified as Mary M. Gladbach, 28, Shawnee, Kansas, was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Holman Funeral Home. Mercy Air transported Hamamy to Cox South in Springfield and Koehler to Mercy in Springfield.

Michaelis was not injured.  The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
