SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas teen accused in a shooting that injured four people in 2025 is back in jail and facing charges.
On Monday, a judge charged 19-year-old Diego Murdock with four counts of aggravated battery and one count of criminal discharge of a firearm, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Just before 3a.m. October 12, 2025, police responded to Wichita hospital regarding multiple walk-in shooting victims.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victims were inside a vehicle at the intersection of Clifton and Morris in Wichita when the suspect fired multiple shots that injured a 26-year-old man, a 21-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.
On October 16, Murdock was booked into the Sedgwick County jail but the charges were dismissed. The district attorney's office later refiled the case. On Monday, Murdock was booked back into jail and remains in custody on $1 million bond, according to online jail records.
