REPUBLIC COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a stabbing and searching for two suspects identified as 35-year-old Tyler Johnson and Nathaniel Shelton.

Just after 7 p.m. Sunday, deputies received a 911 call with reports of a stabbing in the 100 block of Freedom St. in Courtland.

Shelton has previous convictions for drugs, DUI, flee or attempt to elude law enforcement and aggravated endangering a child, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.

Deputies and EMS respond to the scene. They found one victim who was transported to an area hospital.
