RENO COUNTY —Cleanup is underway and authorities are investigating the cause of a train derailment in Hutchinson.
At about 1 a.m. Monday, approximately two dozen Union Pacific rail cars derailed in Hutchinson, according to a statement from Union Pacific. The incident occurred near 17th Avenue and N. Halstead Street. There were no injuries or releases.
The railroad crossing at 17th Avenue has reopened. One northbound lane of K-61 from 17th to 39th Avenue remains closed.
