FORD COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10p.m. Friday in Ford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Camaro driven by Marcos P. Solis, 28, Dodge City, was stopped at the stop sign facing west on Lariat Way and U.S. 56..
The driver pulled out in front of a 2018 International semi driven by Andrew P. Lewis, Roscoe, Iowa. The semi struck Camaro in the passenger side.
Solis was transported to the hospital in Dodge City where he died. Lewis was not injured. Solis was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
