
COWLEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary and have a suspect in custody on numerous charges.
Just before 3p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to the trailer park located at 1601 W. Kansas Avenue in Arkansas City for a report of a possible disturbance, according to police spokesperson Andrew Lawson.
A the scene, a female victim, told police a man later identified as 33-year-old Ramon Gomez-Calletano had forcefully entered her residence without permission and allegedly threatened her life.
Police located a man hiding in a bathroom in the home. He initially identified himself as Domingo Lorenz Gomez, but investigators later learned he was Ramon Gomez-Calletano.
While conducting their investigation, police discovered Gomez-Calletano was in possession of a false Kansas driver’s license and two Social Security cards, none of which actually belonged to him.
They also learned Gomez-Calletano had been using these identifications to work in Sumner County.
Officers arrested him on requested charges of felony aggravated burglary, criminal threat and identity theft, as well as interference with a law enforcement officer, according to Lawson. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $57,000 bond

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (August 18, 2020) — The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an
Arkansas City man Monday afternoon n on suspicion of burgling a home and threatening the occupant.
Ramon Gomez-Calletano, 33, was arrested on suspicion of one felony count each of aggravated
burglary, criminal threat and identity theft, as well as misdemeanor interference with a law enforcement
officer. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield in lieu of $57,000 bond
through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.
Gomez-Calletano remained in custody at the time of this release.
