
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two Kansas men on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Just after 1a.m. Monday, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a green 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck near SW 11th Street and SW Topeka Boulevard, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
During the investigation, the deputy located illegal narcotics and arrested the driver 55-year-old Patrick S. Freel and the passenger, 21-year-old Spencer A. Mishmash both of Topeka,

They were booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Freel is being held on requested charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, failure to stop at a red light, defective headlamps, no vehicle liability insurance and driving with an expired registration.
