Sex crime: Kansas man thought he was meeting with juvenile

OSAGE COUNTY– Law enforcement authorities have been conducting an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child by an adult.

On April 19, Osage County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) took into custody an adult male who had made plans to meet with someone he believed to be a minor, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.

Joseph A. Vonsoosten, 39, of Topeka, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of electronic solicitation and attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
