SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a road-rage shooting.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shooting call at Central and Waco in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidson.  Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old man who had been shot.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed the victim was traveling in his blue Toyota Tacoma south on Waco and a disturbance occurred between the victim and individuals inside of another vehicle.  At Central and Waco both vehicles stopped and the victim approached the suspect vehicle when he was shot.

The suspect vehicle then fled, according to Davidson. Police have not reported an arrest.
