Sheriff investigating death of 14-year-old Kansas boy

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. Law enforcement are investigating a fatal shooting that left a 14-year-old boy dead at the Englewood Mobile Home Park.

At about 3 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to medical call involving a shooting in the 3200 block of East MacArthur Road, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Branden Stitt.

First responders arrived and found Jesus Merino Terrero, 14, who lived at the home, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene.

An autopsy has been completed. Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, which remains under investigation to determine what occurred. No arrests have been made at this time, and all parties involved in the incident have been identified.
