Kansas man jailed after caught driving stolen pickup

SHAWNEE COUNTY – Law enforcement authorities are investigating several suspects arrested following a traffic stop of a reported stolen pickup.

Just before 5:30 p.m. Monday, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado in the 1700 block of South Kansas Avenue in Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, deputies located narcotics inside the vehicle and the vehicle was determined to be stolen through the Topeka Police Department

Two occupants were placed into custody and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. The driver, Brandon L. Taylor, 26, Topeka, was booked on multiple warrants and requested charge of  possession of stolen property and multiple drug and traffic charges.

A passenger, Elizabeth G. Perry, 25, Topeka, was arrested by the Topeka Police Department on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
