SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities have completed a drug investigation and have a suspect in custody.
On November 12, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served a search warrant in the 3700 Block of SW Topeka Blvd., according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.
While conducting the search warrant, investigators learned 40-year-old Charles Handley of Topeka had methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Officers transported Handley to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Distribution of methamphetamin, Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent and Criminal use of a weapon, according to Monasmith.
