🎥 Governor on COVID-19 and Thanksgiving in Kansas

TOPEKA —Kansas Governor Laura Kelly held a press briefing Wednesday afternoon to discuss the increase in COVID-19 in Kansas. 

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kansas increased by 5,738 to a total of 147,797 the state health department reported Wednesday afternoon. 

Coronavirus deaths were reported at 1,503, an increase of 47.

 The governor also reminded Kansans to scale back Thanksgiving celebrations and to do Black Friday shopping online instead of in-person.

During the press conference, KDHE Secretary Dr. Lee Norman provided an update on COVID-19 treatments and the latests details on hospital capacity in the state.
