RENO COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just after 10a.m. Saturday in Reno County.
According to the Reno County Sheriff's Office, preliminary information indicates that a silver Jeep Liberty was North bound on Kansas 14 Highway one half mile north of US 50. The Jeep and southbound Chevy Malibu were involved in a collision. Both drivers were pronounced deceased by emergency medical personnel.
A passenger from one of the vehicles was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The sheriff's office did not have details on the condition of the passenger early Saturday afternoon.
The cause of the crash remains under active investigation. The sheriff's office did not release the names of the victims.
