TOPEKA —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a wanted Kansas felon after an arrest.

Just after 3:30p.m. Tuesday, the Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force and Kansas Highway Patrol observed a suspect wanted on felony warrants through Shawnee County and the Kansas Department of Corrections in the 400 Block of SE Branner Street in Topeka, according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.

After a short pursuit, officers took 36-year-old David Jackson of Topeka  into custody in 3200 Block of SE Adams Street without incident. 

Jackson is being held in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges that include the Felony Shawnee County warrant, and a Felony Kansas Department of Correction Parole Absconder warrant, according to Monasmith.
