Update: 1 dead after stabbing during fight at Kan. home

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a a fatal stabbing and have identified the victim as Tyler S. Parkinson, 31 of Topeka, according to police spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.

Just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a fight at a residence located in the 3200 block of NE Seward in Topeka, according to Lt. Kelvin Johnson.

Officers arrived on scene and found Parkinson suffering from what appeared to be apparent stab wounds.

American Medical Response transported him to a local hospital where he died, according to Johnson.

All involved parties are believed to be accounted for. Police have not reported an arrest.
