
KANSAS CITY—Authorities are investigating the cause of an apartment fire in Kansas City.
Just after midnight early Monday, crews responded to a reported apartment fire in the 3300 block of East Linwood Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
On arrival, crews reported smoke and fire showing from the 2nd floor of a 3-story story apartment building, appearing to be vacant. Interior operations were initiated on an offensive fire attack with multiple hose lines advanced inside.

Searches of the structure were conducted and came back all clear. The fire was brought under control at 12:44 a.m.
One firefighter did step through a hole in the floor but was able to get out and was uninjured. No injuries or patients were reported at this incident. Dangerous Buildings and City Planning were ordered.
