KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 4a.m. Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino, a blue Harley Davidson Ultra Glide and a silver Honda CVR were traveling together northbound on Interurban Road in Kansas City. Just south of 128th Street, both motorcycles entered a curve in the roadway.
The Honda driver failed to negotiate the curve of the roadway and struck the Harley. Both motorcycles traveled off the road and both drivers were ejected off their respective motorcycles.
The operator of the Honda was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The operator of the Harley was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries and was listed in critical condition, according to DiMartino.
Neither operator was wearing a motorcycle helmet. This is fatality #44 compared to #44 at this time last year, according to DiMartino. Police did not release name of the motorcyclist who died.
