Registered offender jailed after standoff at SW Kansas home

FINNEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating three suspects in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation in southwest Kansas.

On July 14, the Garden City/Finney County Joint Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 1502 A Street, in Garden City, according to a media release.

Three suspects identified as April Williams, 54, Brock Walker, 38, and Abeer Abdelrazek, 24, refused to exit the residence and surrender to police. Williams is listed as a registered offender for a drug distribution conviction in 2022.

After two hours, the individuals were taken into custody. During a search of the residence, Officers found suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and counterfeit money.

Williams, Walker, and Abdelrazek are being held in the Finney County Jail on requested charges of  Interference LEO (F) and active warrants. Williams is also accused of a violation of offender registration act. Additional charges are pending, according to police.
