SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas man accused in a double homicide on Super Bowl Sunday made his first court appearance Friday.
Brandon Prouse Jr., 20, of Wichita was charged with with two counts of 1st degree murder. .
Just after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a shooting call at a home in the 2100 block of South Erie in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidson. Upon arrival, officers located the bodies of 38-year-old Bonnie Galloway and a 30-year-old Connor O’Callaghan both of Wichita. They had been shot and were pronounced deceased on the scene. A resident of the home found the victims and called the police.
The investigation revealed Prouse and the victims are known to each other and were at the home when a disturbance ensued. During the disturbance, Prouse shot both victims and then fled from the scene.
This was not a random incident and is believed to involve illegal and dangerous drugs.
. He is being held on a bond of one-million dollars, according to the district attorney's office. He is due back in court March 3.
