SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting and have identified the victim as Christopher McMillon, 38, of Topeka.
Just after 11:30a.m. Saturday, police responded to a call for service at a home in the 300 Block of SW Polk for a check welfare, according to LT Jerry Monasmith.
On arrival, officers found McMillon with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police released no additional details early Sunday.
