Geary County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to U.S. 77 Highway, mile marker 167, at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday for a single vehicle injury accident. The Sheriff's Department reported that Ariel Lamas, Wakefield, was traveling south bound in her Chevrolet HHR, went off the roadway, over corrected and the vehicle rolled. Authorities confirmed Lamas was air lifted to a hospital in Topeka following the accident.

Deputies responded to K-177 Highway, mile marker 85 for a single vehicle car vs. deer accident. Tabatha Sauceda, Emporia, was traveling south on K-177 when a deer entered the roadway, causing heavy front end damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
