Cyber tip led to arrest of Kan. man for alleged child sex crimes

RENO COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged sex crimes.

The investigation began when the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received a Cyber Tip about the possession of sexually explicit depictions of children. ICAC turned the investigation over to the Reno County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, the Reno County Sheriff's Office, with the aid of the Harvey County Sheriff's Office, arrested  25-year-old Matthew Whitehurst on requested charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
