KBI: Suspects in Amber Alert captured in Okla.; boy found safe

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the suspects have been arrested and the child recovered by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. 5-year-old Brixton Sisk is safe.

The public's assistance in this matter was outstanding. Several of the tips provided led investigators to the location. 

Authorities released no additional details.

BUTLER COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a missing  5-year-old boy.

At 2:40p.m. Thursday, a woman entered a school day care in Rose Hill, Kansas posing as a Social Worker. The woman gained access to 5-year-old Brixton Sisk, exited the school, entered a black Suburban with a paper-30 day tag and departed the location.

The woman was identified as Brixton's mother, Danielle Banzet, who had her parental rights severed by the court. Actions taken by Banzet prior to the abduction, including threats of violence, indicate that Brixton is in imminent danger.

KBI reported just after 6:45p.m. Banzet, a male counterpart and child have switched vehicles to a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, Kansas license 461NWF and may be fleeing the immediate area.  The KBI reported just before 9:30p.m. authorities found the Jetta abandoned in rural Cowley County.
