WYANDOTTE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly stabbing have made an arrest and identified the victim as 43-year-old Latasha Williams of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a media release.
Just before 2p.m. Friday, police responded to report of a deceased individual in the 700 Block of Nebraska Avenue.
First responders found Williams in an apartment with apparent stab wounds. Police took a suspect into custody. On Tuesday police identified him as Robert Simpson, 66, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas,
Simpson has been charged by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office with second degree murder. He is currently being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
