KANSAS CITY —A pedestrian injured in an accident Saturday in Kansas City has died.
Just before 10:30p.m. Saturday, police responded to report of the accident at NE MO 210 Highway and N Eldon, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Police investigators determined that a vehicle was eastbound on Mo 210 Highway just east of N Eldon and had a green traffic control signal. The pedestrian crossed the street southbound in front of vehicle and was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with life threatening injuries and died on Sunday, according to KCPD Officer Phil DiMartino.
This is fatality #12 compared to #24 at this time last year, according to DiMartino. The incident remains under investigation. Police have not released the name of the victim.
