KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating a homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victim as 21-year-old Camron Harvey, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Just after 1a.m. May 1, police were dispatched to the area of 63rd and Manchester on a reported sound of shots, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
While in route officers received updated information of a vehicle accident in the area of 63rd and Beacon. As officers arrived to 63rd and Beacon they located a vehicle off the roadway. Inside they discovered Cameron Harvey suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
KCFD EMS arrived simultaneously and began performing life saving measures. Medics pronounced the him deceased at the scene.
Detectives continue to follow up on leads, and request the public’s help with any information.
