63-year-old Kan. man dies after motorcycle, car crash

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an accident that left a 63-year-old man dead.

Just before 6p.m. on Friday, a police officer drove up on an injury accident at Pawnee and McLean involving a Chevy Prizm and a Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to officer Charley Davidson.

The 63-year-old motorcyclist was found in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on the scene.  The driver of the Prizm sustained minor injuries.

The investigation revealed the Chevy was southbound on McLean and was turning to go East on Pawnee.  The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on McLean.  The vehicles collided in the intersection.

It is not believed that speed, alcohol, or drugs were a factor in this accident.

Police released no additional details early Saturday.
