SEDGWICK COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 7p.m. Sunday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Honda Accord driven by Tim S. Martin, 74, Maize, was eastbound on Kansas 96 just east of West Street in the westbound lane. The car struck a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Halie M Weese, 25, Hutchinson, and a 2013 Toyota Camry driven by William L Chesbro, 34, Alamogordo, New Mexico. A 2021 GMC Yukon driven by Dwayne C. Doyle, 39, Wichita, then T-boned the Honda.
Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. Weese, Chesbro and Doyle were not transported for treatment. Two children in the Yukon had minor injuries. Martin was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
