Seitz Elementary School playground is the site for a new 20 by 30 foot map of the United States. The map will help students gain a better understanding of the country's geography and will be the focus of numerous educational games with a CD of teaching ideas provided.

The Junction City Rotary Club undertook the project. A history of members including Generals Pershing, Patton, Wainwright and Richardson was factor in the selection of Fort Riley as the first location in this area for the Rotary map project. Col. John Seitz ( Ret. ) is a current member and Gen. Andy Seitz, his father, and Gen. Dick Seitz, his uncle, were also members.
