JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, a sheriff's Deputy stopped a Dodge Neon for alleged traffic infractions near 190th and U.S. 75 Highway, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The deputies arrested the driver Jesse Scott Hartter, 29, of Sabetha, on requested charges of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, defacing identification marks on a firearm and possession of a hallucinogenic drug.
The passenger, Robert Jason Hobbs, 46, of Fairview, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, no drug tax stamp.
Hartter has a previous conviction for selling drugs, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.
