
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an armed robbery and have made an arrest.
Just after 5p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a robbery of a pizza delivery driver, according to Lt. Ron Ekis.
The 32-year-old male delivery driver reported he attempted to deliver pizza to an address in the 600 block of SE Lake in Topeka when an adult male suspect armed with a gun robbed him of food.
Police were able to locate the suspect identified as 28-year-old Simeon D. Perdue and take him into custody without incident.
Perdue was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of aggravated robbery.
