ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges.
On Wednesday, police in Atchison arrested 60-year-old James W. Schneider of Lawrence on a Douglas County warrant for alleged domestic battery, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Schneider has a previous conviction for attempted aggravated assault in Johnson County, according to the Kanas Dept. of Corrections. He is no longer in custody in Atchison County, according to online jail records.
