JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a man who died in a county jail.
On Wednesday, Sheriff Tim Morse released the name of the man who died in the Jackson County Jail early Tuesday morning as 70-year-old Mark William Hull, of Topeka. Hull was arrested May 2, on a Jackson County District Court warrant for failure to appear on drug charges, according to Morse.
Whether a person who is incarcerated in a correctional facility dies of foul play or natural causes in Kansas, the K.B.I. is in charge of investigating the cause of death.
