
BROWN COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas couple on multiple drug allegations.
Just before 11p.m. Saturday, a Brown County deputy requested the sheriff's department K-9 Carla be deployed on a traffic stop on K-20 Highway near Falcon Road, according to Sheriff John Merchant.
Carla indicated on the vehicle and based off of information gathered at the scene, a search warrant was applied for and granted for a residence located at 250 E. 8th Street in Horton.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force initiated the Search Warrant and drug related items were taken into custody as evidence. At the conclusion of the Warrant, Glenda Mendez, 49, Horton was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Obstruction and Child Endangerment.
Tyrone Mendez, 47, Horton was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Child Endangerment.
