SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged child abuse.
On December 8, 2020, deputies responded to a child abuse call after a three-year-old child arrived at a local hospital with several serious internal and external injuries, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
The child was transported to a Kansas City area hospital for treatment.
Just after 9:30p.m. Thursday, deputies located and arrested Joshua S. McNutt, 41, of Topeka. McNutt was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of felony aggravated endangering a child.
