Kansas City fire crews rescue man stuck in a tree

KANSAS CITY —A man is recovering after he was injured in an accident while trimming trees at a home in Kansas City.

Just after 8p.m. Tuesday, the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a reported individual stuck in a tree in the 5900 block of Indiana, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.

First responders found a man stuck in a tree suspended upside down by his foot approximately 15 feet in the air.

Fire crews used ladders and ropes to disentangle the man and lower him safely to the ground. He was transported to the hospital for treatment for his leg and foot.  Authorities released no additional details.
