Kan. deputies find 28 stolen firearms during investigation

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects after the recovery of multiple stolen firearms.

On Saturday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 5300 block of S. Topeka boulevard on a report of a domestic disturbance, according to Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer.

A woman told deputies she was in an argument with her boyfriend who had left the area.  Deputies located him in the 1000 block of SE 77th.  

During the investigation of the incident, deputies found multiple stolen firearms in a vehicle the couple were driving.  Deputies seized 28 firearms that were reported stolen out of Rolla, Missouri and arrested Darrin Fultz, 34, of Rolla, Missouri for possession of stolen property and drug violations.

Deputies also arrested Amanda Bushan, 30, of Rolla, MO, for alleged drug violations.

The Sheriff’s Office is currently working with the Rolla Police Department on the case, according to Stallbaumer.
